Strategic Advisor

Ryan Moreland serves as Strategic Advisor for Tenney Group. Tenney Group’s core business is sell-side representation services for trucking and logistics companies with annual revenues ranging from $20M to $300M. Ryan is responsible for driving growth in dynamic markets by establishing sell-side engagements through the coordination of commercial activities to meet the personal and financial objectives of his clients.

Ryan attended Bryan College with a major in Business Administration and a focus in Accounting. He started his career at Covenant Transportation Group in the logistics brokerage division and worked his way into the Director of Logistics role leading the operations of highly strategic accounts. Following his time with operations, Ryan transitioned into various sales and sales leadership positions serving multiple divisions of the $1B logistics company. After a 9-year career at Covenant, Ryan spent time at Sheer Logistics where he was focused on enterprise sales of Managed Transportation Services.  Throughout all these roles, Ryan has created significant value for his clients and their key stakeholders, driven efficiencies to maximize company returns, and integrated disparate divisions of various organizations into centrally managed operations.

Ryan resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee with his wife Leighanne, their daughter Lila, and their three energetic dogs. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, mentoring others in the industry, golfing, being outdoors, and serving as a member of the church.
